Welcome to the Quantum Effects Devices Project

This is an interactive, online basic research project. It is also an experiment  in education and communication. The goal of the QED Project is to develop practical technological applications of quantum and post-quantum mechanical phenomena. The realization of such new technologies would have major impact on any number of current technologies, including computing, communications, transportation, energy, and medicine, to name a few. We invite all who are interested in participating in this program to do so.

The QED web site is roughly divided into two general areas: a Theory Group and a Tech Group. These two areas are constructed as threaded discussion groups. There is also a QED News page, the QED Lab page, a QED Links page, and QEDmail.

A caveat: The level of discussion is at the college undergraduate level and higher. With that requirement in mind, the site moderators will have control over participation in the discussion groups. This does not mean that participants will be admitted to discussions based soley upon academic credentials, merely that there will be some vetting procedure. Passwords will be issued to participants after they've sent us an email giving their background and stating why they're interested in participating in this project, and what they feel they can contribute to it.

Notes added by Dr. Jack Sarfatti on August 7, 1999. To be kept informed e-mail: sarfatti@well.com

Tom Van Flandern http://www.ldolphin.org/vanFlandern/gravityspeed.html has discovered a smoking gun that suggests that the Face on Mars in Cydonia is artificial. We await his detailed report. In the meantime we call for a manned expedition to Cydonia on Mars to find out what is really going on there if anything? Bill Gates and Paul Allen should pay for this noble expedition on the way to make Star Trek real. It's an offer they can't refuse. :-)

Hal Puthoff confirms accuracy of story in Chapter 11 of James Schnabel's book, Remote Viewers.

Puthoff is also working on the faster than the speed of light controversy for gravitation that Van Flandern has raised.

We are actively cooperating with The State of The World Forum at The Presidio in San Francisco, formerly The Gorbachev Foundation.

Mr. Phipps in "Heretical Verities" presents an interesting alternative to special relativity that can be tested.

Professors J. P. Vigier from Paris, and Gennady Shipov from Moscow are visiting with us to work on breakthrough propellantless propulsion and atomic cold fusion energy production.

CNI News has described a new report on UFOs from French Intelligence backing up a recent NIDS report. More details here.

The United States Air Force Academy "unofficially" supports our "Star Force" project to make Star Trek real at The Presidio in San Francisco.
