England Tales) and a major figure in the lives of Poe, Hawthorne, Melville
and William Cullen Bryant. She was the daughter of Judge Theodore Sedgwick, a
leader of the Federalists, close to Alexander Hamilton. Sedgwick is famous for
crushing Shay's Rebellion and was one of the first Speakers of the House of the
US Congress. Catharine's mother, Pamela Sedgwick was the daughter of Jonathan
Edwards, the "hell fire and brimstone" preacher, who was second
President of Princeton when his son-in-law Arron Burr's father (the first
President) died young. That makes Arron Burr, who shot Hamilton in a duel,
Catharine's cousin. Henry Dwight's brother, Ellery Sedgwick, was the famous
editor of The Atlantic who published Hemingway, T. S. Eliot and others.

Yes, I imagine that I am in some way a reincarnation of Rashi without the
orthodox part. For me Physics is Torah, and an ethical genius I'm not! I also
used to have dreams of dying in the trenches of World War One - this was before
I knew of Roberto Sarfatti. I did not know any details of the Sarfattis and
Fascism until I met Padwa in 1980. My aunt Victoria Sarfatti did make a veiled
reference to all this upon my graduation from Midwood High School in 1956. It
did not play a big role in my mind until David Gladstone turned me on to the
Sedgwick-Hitler connection. The karma is too strong not to notice. My cousin
Padwa's connection to the Dali Lama is also interesting.
